Quartet Sabaku (www.quartetsabaku.com) is a group of professional musicians whose energetic and lively style have delighted community and school audiences across Arizona for the last ten years. As part of a cultural exchange between the states of Arizona and Sinaloa, Mexico they were sent to the Festival de las Artes in October, 2000. Members of the Quartet have extensive backgrounds in chamber music, symphony playing, university teaching, traditional string pedagogy and Suzuki teaching. Quartet Sabaku has been on the Artists Roster of the Arizona Commission on the Arts since 1997.
Quartet Sabaku is comprised of Cynthia Baker (1st violin), Leslie Froeb Turner (2nd violin), Katherine Black Shields (viola) and Frederick Chao (cello).
