Sticks and Tones

Sticks and Tones is a family music duo created by Henry and Maria Flurry. They are classically-trained musicians who specialize in multicultural music and educating children. Henry plays the piano, Maria plays percussion and both sing when performing together. Sticks and Tones is on the Artist Roster of the Arizona Arts Commission and can be heard at the Prescott Library on the June 9th morning concert of the Chaparral MusicFest.

In addition to his work with Sticks and Tones, Henry can be found composing and teaching piano. Audiences will hear a new work by Henry, Skidkrinkin’ (for marimba and tuba), on the June 8th Chaparral MusicFest concert in Prescott.

The Flurrys live in Prescott and perform at schools and libraries all over Arizona. They are bilingual in Spanish and English and effectively incorporate many foreign languages into their lively, interactive performances.
