Chris Burton Jácome began playing guitar in 1986. While living in Sevilla, Spain, Chris has studied flamenco guitar with some of the greatest flamenco performers of this era. Chris music can be heard on the Emmy Award winning PBS special "Flamenco", popular TV shows "Kyle xy" and "Greek" and most recently in the film "Amreeka" which was a jury selection for the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and received a 6 minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 20th, 2009. Chris has also written and produced 3 CDs and will soon be releasing his 4th CD entitled, "Levanto". Smiling proudly, Chris relates "the recording of this CD has been one of the biggest projects of my life and I know that this CD will touch a lot of people, it has something for everyone!"
Lena Jácome has toured nationally as a flamenco dancer with the CBJ Flamenco Ensemble & Calo Flamenco. She has a BFA in Dance Performance at NWSA in Miami, FL and an MFA in Dance and Choreography from ASU and has studied in Spain.
Both Chris & Lena are Roster Artists with Arizona Commission on the Arts and will be adjunct faculty at ASU in the fall semester of 2009 teaching flamenco dance and communication.
